My Views On Democracy
In my opinion, democracy is not only a political system but also a way of life. People living in a democratic country should know the art of give-and-take. They protect their rights, but also fulfill their responsibility. And it is my belief that a government of the people and for the people can take root only in the country where people have much concern for others. In a democracy, different opinions are tolerated and respected no matter who comes to power. In addition, everyone is equal before the law regardless of his birthplace, religion, creed and social class. A democratic system guarantees freedom of speech, freedom of the press, and freedom of association. Most important of all, in a democracy, the odds are in favor of those who are willing and determined to come to the top.
